How to Fix Spa Foam ForeverĀ
Anti Foam is a great quick fix, but how do you rid your spa of frustrating foam forever? To eliminate foaming in your spa, you must address the main cause of the issue.
Balance your spa pool water
When the pH and alkalinity of your pool becomes too high, your water becomes overloaded with organic waste, oils and dirt.Ā
This combination of waste and high pH makes water soft, leading to the formation of bubbles in your spa. Soap can also leech into your spa water from skin, togs and hair.
Sanitisers work to keep waste at bay and eliminate oils and dirt from spa water.Ā
When chemicals like bromine donāt work properly, contaminants are free to make your water foamy.Ā
Soap scumming is also a symptom of unbalanced spa water.Ā
How to get rid of foamy spa water, forever:
- Test your spa water for any unbalanced chemicals.
- If the calcium hardness level is below 200ppm, add some Calcium Increaser.
- Check the total alkalinity. If the level is below 100ppm add some alkalinity increaser.
- If the pH is above 7.4-7.6, add some pH lowering chemical.
- Spa water with pH lower than 7.4 needs a pH Increaser.
Fix Your Foamy Spa Water Fast
For that quick fix to foamy spa water, choose OSPA Anti Foam. With its fast acting formula your spa pool is ready for a relaxing soak that everyone can enjoy.Ā
Long-term fixes are trickier. We recommend testing your water for imbalances, then adding chemicals to fix them.
